How It Started…
It was Summer 2020 and the world had shut down, put on pause, and the music sorta stopped for me. The pandemic was taking lives and there was an overwhelming feeling of hopelessness. After being in the healthcare field for 3 years, I was still searching for professional fulfillment and I felt it was time for a change of scenery. In September of 2020, I had just left my job at the children’s hospital to work in adult critical care thinking that would fill the void I was searching for. That was a big fat NOPE! All I was left with was burnout and more frustration. As a full-time registered respiratory therapist, I needed a joyous outlet celebrating life and love. So, I had the idea of getting ordained and in October 2020, I performed my very first wedding ceremony! The business of marrying folks started off slow, but overtime, it’s grown from an idea to my absolute passion! I’ve built a business I can be proud of from humble beginnings and it’s only gonna get better from here!

Aside from my amazing, award-winning personality, I understand weddings. I‘m fluent in “wedding language”. I was a DIY bride in 2006, and remember the stress of wedding planning. But the one vendor I didn’t have to worry about? Our wedding officiant. I want to be that for you! Here are some of my credentials that will hopefully leave you with the “warm and fuzzies”: I’m fully insured. I’m licensed with an LLC from North Carolina. Most importantly, I have a Bachelor’s of Divinity Certificate through Universal Brotherhood Movement, INC. along with being ordained through American Marriage Ministries - able to legally perform weddings and sign marriage licenses in the state of North Carolina. I am an active member of the Currituck Chamber of Commerce, an active member of the Outer Banks Wedding Association, can be found as a vendor on Wedding Wire, and am constantly learning about trends on Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.
